On April 13th, the Susquehanna Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host a presentation by Matt Long, Dis- trict Manager of the Lycoming County Conservation District, and Billy Clees, Coordinator of the County’s Cleanwater Action Plan (CAP), to describe the efforts being made to accomplish Lycoming County’s pollution reduction goals under the PADEP and US EPA Chesa- peake Bay Program.
They will discuss how the planning process has pro- gressed, current projects that are scheduled for this year, and the process for funding and carrying out the pro- jects. Projects planned for 2022 include those on Pine Run, Bottle Run, and Bennetts Run. Most of the pro- jects are focused on waterways impaired by agricultural activities. Future projects and targeted watersheds will also be covered in the presentation, as well as responsi- ble stream maintenance and best practices for helping to prevent and clean up damage from major storm events.
The Susquehanna Chapter of Trout Unlimited en- courages the public to attend and learn about the Ly- coming County Conservation District’s important role in conserving and protecting our soil and water resources and share their thoughts, concerns and ideas. For more information, please visit
